Hi, PredaFran! Great news, my newest book should be able to help a little. It is now free on Amazon. It will atleast give you a foundations of things you should really think about when doing your comparison. Hey, when you're done reading it, if you don't mind, please let me a review!

The Ultimate Guide to Choosing a 3d Printer: How to Choose the Best 3d Printer

    Thank you,

always a huge mistake to label anything 'ultimate'
Particularly in an industry where new products are coming out every damn day :-)
    But I'll give it a read :-)
(bugger, forgot I'd lost my kindle :-( )
You got it in a pdf ?

I'm somewhat in the same boat as you looking around - so no expert. I have a bit more $ tolerance but may still go cheap to start.
Have you looked at the private label of the flashforge at $800? http://www.microcenter.com/product/435491/3D_Pro?
    Or, http://store.makerstoolworks.com/pri...ic-3d-printer/
And i'm sure those on this list will point at the various reprap kits like the prusa_i3v or http://reprap.org/wiki/Kossel
There are SO MANY options, have fun.
