Joseph Tucker was searching for a way to stay hydrated as he took part in his second marathon, and he found the existing options less than ideal. So Tucker decided to use 3D printing and 3D design to create a mouthpiece which includes a small pocket to hold liquid, the Hydra-Guard. Tucker, the inventor of the device, says it was his participation in the STEM program at McNeese State University, that got him rolling with the idea.
