X Axis belt-better way to clamp?
What's everyone doing to get a better way to crimp the ends of the X-axis belt instead of the supplied cable ties?

I used the cable ties. Just make sure they will not hinder belt travel. The head of my cable tie actually rubs slightly on the extrusion but it does not cause any issues.

Don't think of them as cable ties. They are single-use flexible precision GT2 composite belt retention straps with self locking feature and optional bonus cable collation benefits. Feel better now?

That said, don't use them for attaching the endstop switches. That's just janky. Get some proper screws.

I used two "retention straps" on each end, just for extra "retention".

Here is one I came up after modifying part http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:643799 I will put this on thingiverse in a day or so. I plan to use this when I replace my wooden x-carriage with a plastic one.X-CarriageBeltClamp_rev7.scadX-CarriageBeltClamp_rev7_repaired.stl
