Virtual reality and 3D printing are coming together in increasingly complex ways -- and the latest we've seen is quite impressive, indeed. ETH Zurich student Constantinos Miltiadis has been working toward the development of the still-ongoing Project Anywhere, which combines augmented reality and virtual reality in a whole ecosystem. A smartphone app, developed with Unity3D and Java, allows for cloud-based communication with software and other users via the apparatus. A smartphone is inserted into a 3D printed VR headset, which also interacts with 3D printed Inteligloves that have six sensors quantized by Omnitracker software to read movements.
