    Thermocoupler failure?

https://www.bilbycnc.com.au/DispProd...=WRMR2Thermo2I have been told that it is typical, and from Bilby's site links, message #2 that I am getting still points to the thermocoupler as the failure. I can not see any problem along the wires, so I assume the problem is in the head itself. Does anyone know of any being sold in the USA, with better quality parts like posted above? Thank you for looking.

Quality doesn't vary much. However nicely they package it and charge big bucks for it the chances are it came from the same place to begin with, somewhere in China.

Buy 10 off ebay for a few $ and replace them when they go faulty. Buy one of the cheap thermocouple meters too, that way for total cost $10 or so you can absolutely say one is faulty in future.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Digital-LCD-...tem3a907685a1I have an IR thermometer, would that work the same? Is the temperature of the device itself all that is needed, or is it a reading of the wires themselves?http://www.ebay.com/itm/Makerbot-Rep...5e328aa91local to me, which should be quicker shipping,http://www.ebay.com/itm/Flashforge-3...item259e10fdb2 Says it is for makerbot, but how does the ring terminal attach to the block?http://www.ebay.com/itm/Makerbot-The...em3f32ab79cfno end on this one...http://www.ebay.com/itm/All-Metal-E3...9987bf07better overall design? fit in the same place?

Your first link is exactly what I bought to test thermocouples. You can buy the plugs too, they are very low cost.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/251802823273...IDX%3AITAnyone have experience replacing one? The ones from Australia are available as well as the ones from Ohio, but the price is pretty darn costly.
