NDSU students Caet Fox and Amber Grindeland decided it was time to teach an old dog new tricks and reinvent the clothes hanger. Their creation, the Geo Mod, consists of interlocking 3D printed hexagonal shapes that can be reconfigured to meet a variety of garment hanging needs. The pair showcased their design at the NDSU Innovation Fair in January where it received a great deal of positive attention both for its capabilities and because it is completely recyclable and biodegradable. The Geo Mod design will also be competing to be one of three innovative products to receive prizes at an even in the Fargodome in February.
