As a variety of different programs and avenues for funding allow for digital design and 3D printing in libraries, excitement grows and innovation abounds. There are concerns within the American Library Association however, regarding offering such a service for free to the community, in that not only is it expensive equipment to maintain and educate staff about, there are legal issues and public policies that must be created.
