Natural News, a popular source of information for those who want to know more about what's in their food and medicine, will be launching FoodRising.org toward the end of February. Food Rising is a non-profit initiative for the Consumer Wellness Center that will have a focus on empowering consumers to gain access to clean sources of food and medicine. In the teaser video for Food Rising, Mike Adams describes the drive for an open source community plan that will be universally available and viable -- and it will use 3D printers to enhance productivity, so consumers can print necessary objects at home. While there aren't yet many details about this soon-to-launch project, we do know they will have a 3D print farm initially consisting of a Type A Machines Printer, FlashForge, Ultimaker 2, and LulzBot Mini, which will eventually be narrowed down to one type of 3D printer that they will acquire in larger quantity for mass production.
