I don't knowhow efficient it is; but it is to achieve uniform distribution of cooling around the print. With just one fan you only cool the plastic from one side leading to possible irregularities.

For a 1000 extra it is no longer a hobbyist printer.
While quiet and precision is desirable, you have to find a cheaper alternative.... Or go for another market, which may be more crowded than you...
I recently got one.
It's not plug and play. Moreso than a regular reprap, but you still have to get to work.
