Like the others, mine is just an opinion. I replaced the stock blue pad with a sheet of PEI. It's working very well for me. Everything sticks well, and parts just pop off after printing. I just give...
I think if the .x3g code was generated to use both extruders, it would use both. You just can't control or see the 2nd extruder in the current version. Also, the new Raspberry Pi 3 is not yet...
Thanks for the info on the screw :)
Astroprint works perfectly, other than it currently only supports one extruder. They are working on support for the second. I built my own using a Raspberry Pi...
:) Hmmm, I thought it is like welded to the frame? Have to look closer...
Where KludgeGuru shows to attach is the proper place. I just tried to move mine there, but the screw is just to short to get the nut on. How did you do it?
I removed the screw that holds the lower left clear Plexiglas cover to the frame. I used a slightly longer screw in its place through the hole in the bottom start piece.

Anyone know if this fits the Qidi printer? Any change needed for the part fan?

Syd_Khaos - Thanks for the instructions, they proved helpful. For the motor, I replaced the original m3x8mm screws with m3x12mm.

I'm also interested in the answer to this regarding the screw lengths. I've printed out the chain parts. The dis-assembly and installation seem non-trivial. Is it easier than it looks? Does anyone...
How do you monitor the enclosure temperature? Just a simple thermometer?
No, I removed the blue build tack pad the printer ships with, then installed the PEI with the 3M tape to the aluminum build plate. If the blue pad it ships with is PEI, it sure isn't the same kind of...
Since I'm printing quite a lot, what are the typical parts that will wear out first? I'd like to go ahead and order some less expensive parts.
I used this two sided tape:

I agree it would be great to make it removable. I'm thinking about a...
Those of you considering installing a glass plate, should also consider using a sheet of PEI. On the advice of a friend, I installed it, and it's amazing how well it works. I printed a PETG part last...
I ordered the glass for the build plate, but a guy at work gave me a sheet of PEI to try. I installed it and it is just amazing. Parts stick great, and then pop right off after cooling for just a...
Hi Everyone,
I'm brand new to 3D printing. This will be my first purchase. I'm leaning toward the Qidi Tech 1. Is there any reason to spend the extra money on the Flashforge Creator Pro?
