Very sad news! I´d be happy to chip in, say, $50 more to get my Peachy. I´m sure others would as well. Why not set up some sort of gofundme-deal or something?

So overall print speed can be optimized if we augment our Peachy with a micropump of some kind, and for some prints this can be a dramatic increase? Has anyone started trying to use a motorised pump...
I have no idea, but would like to say I approve of your approach. This attitude, and the original idea, is why I joined the funding effort.
Great reply, thanks! I was thinking more of doing it the same way that the mirrors already move, a black disk on a string with several different sized apertures and a blocking part, but can see it...
I always wondered why you need to turn the laser on and off at all. Why not have a small disk with different sized openings (and a part of it w/out any opening) in front of the laser. Rotate 30...
I'll bite! I'd love to se how the Peachy does on these models: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:533472 (I know they're made to test FDM printers, but interesting to see how it compares). Also a lens,...
Hey, Rylan, could we use Soduim polytungstate? it has a maximum attainable solution density of 3,1 g/cm3 at 25°C and would allow us to use aluminum powder as filling. perhaps some alloys?
It begs the question - is there any other (very heavy) liquid we could use instead of brine?
I would like to try:
Coffee grounds
Flour
Different exotic woods (Cedar, Bubinga etc)
Aluminum (it *should* be lighter than brine?)
Also we need to figure out some sort of bottom-up...
Good! There are always some people who get mad at you when you're trying to do something interesting. Just keep on doing what you think is right.
Damnit! Now I´ll have to refresh this site even more often.
I'm also curious about this, there are lots of interesting techniques for waterpainting or marbling (it could be fun to do something like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NqedBekgLdo or this...
I'm guessing this thread: http://3dprintboard.com/showthread.php?3072-Ideas-for-lasers-and-resins wich has lots of interesting info, and some links that I can' access ;) Really looking forward to...
Anyone in Oslo, Norway?
I think I'll stick to green resins for my part, for many reasons including ventilation. But what is actually needed to make a reasonable quality resin? Usable for testing, perhaps. And how to do it?...
Well, not *only* the oil barons, other monied interests were involved as well. But, aside from that, yes, spot on.
Great! The RRP is born ;)
Coming from a techie-background I'm quite blank on the chemistry of resins, altho I'm reading up on it in an attempt to assuage the pain of waiting for my own Peachy. I...
I'm new to this stuff, but good with tehcnology in general and happy to help with (and be a part of) such a group ;)
Localy sourced bio-resin would be wonderful.
So I'm wondering what can be achieved with mixing stuff into the resin. I plan on testing different fillers, but not only to economize. Colors are one thing, but can we also make metallics, sparkly...
Yeah, google returns several interesting links. Many claim to have electroconducting uv curable resin. They seem to work by using a conductive filler, i guess that we would need to use something with...
Might be a stupid question, but why not use conductive resin directly? If it can be made conductive, by infusing cnts or metal powder perhaps?
It's not just you ;)
While I second kulfssons point about larger prints, I fully support you in doing things in their proper order, with calibration being the obvious starting point, Anuvin. Thanks for posting pics! All...
Thank you very much for these! Excited to see what you can achieve, keep 'em coming :)
