Shapeways EDU Awards Grants to Aid in Innovation and 3D Printing Projects

Shapeways EDU grants award professors and college students $1,000 twice yearly to aid innovative and cutting edge 3D printing applications. Last year, some Carnegie Mellon students used grant money for an annual thematic design show run by a student organization. This year, five more recipients display a range of projects such as a scuba flipper that can be worn on land by amputees, and a collection of 3D printed fossil replicas used in research and all available via open source.
