Sharebot, the Italian 3D printer manufacturer, has just launched an Indiegogo campaign for their Wi-Fi enabled 3D printer management system called the Sharebox3D. What the Sharebox3D does is enable a streamlined, intuitive printing process which can be controlled with basically any mobile device. The system, which connects to pretty much any 3D printer on the market, takes charge from prior to the print to after the print is completed. It allows for full monitoring of the print process, and acts as a repository for past STL files and Gcode, allowing one to easily store and save their models. It also will create Gcode and do the slicing for you, enabling the launch of a print from a mobile device. The company seeks to raise $60,000 via crowdfunding and will begin shipping the devices, which start at $99, sometime in September.
