Hongtao Zhou has used 3D printing of text to make an impact in several ways. Calling his 3D printed documents and passages ‘textscapes,’ he uses them as a vehicle for artwork, as well as a cultural and historical reminder of ancient Chinese printing. His series of textscapes is presented in Braille, calligraphy, and different languges, as well as number systems and even cityscapes.
