The Youth for Technology Foundation has turned to Indiegogo for a crowd-funding campaign to advance their initiatives to bring 3D printing education to girls in Africa. The not-for-profit has been working since its foundation in 2000 to create greater access to STEM education for girls around the world, working to overcome both physical and cultural barriers. This current campaign would expand the work that they have been able to do as a result of a seed grant from We Tech and includes not only equipment and software purchases but educational outreach activities designed to address cultural and familial barriers to girls’ involvement in STEM education.
