3D Printer that Prints in GRASS

This is a pretty cool printer designed by a student. It prints in a substance that eventually grows grass. The possibilities are pretty endless for those people that are into gardening.

Interesting adaption of a DIY CNC machine to 3D printing by the replacement of a milling head with an extruder.

Remember, if you create a design and generate G-code with a program like Slic3r, then the code will make the extruder move upwards from Z = 0. If you run the same design through a G-code generator for CNC work, then the head will move from +Z to Z = 0.

Pretty cool concept, although I'm not so sure there is too much use for this, unless it's done on a grand scale. The faces they show here don't look very good LOL.
