Designer Creates Incredible 3D Printed Marble Machine
First year art student Tulio Laanen has created not only an awesome toy, but a fine work of engineering and art with his 3D printed marble machine. As a student of Fontys School of Fine and Performing Arts in the Netherlands, the Dutch artist has been working on a number of different versions of the marble machine, with the last taking him into the world of 3D printing, transforming his marble maker completely using an Ultimaker 2. Check out more details on this fun project, including videos of two versions in action, in the full article: http://3dprint.com/34462/3d-printed-marble-machine/

This is news? There have been marbe machines posted on Thingiverse for some time. At least the ones on Thingiverse are customizable and you are not limited to one design.

19-year-old design student Tulio Laanen and designed his second 3D Printed Marble Machine and it is a dramatic improvement over his first design. Not only did he reduce the amount of individual parts needed to make it work, but he improved the design to prevent the balls from falling out of the back. You can read all about his design over on 3DPrint.com: http://3dprint.com/62151/3d-printed-marble-machine-2/
