Eric Pavey has done it again, recreating one of his favorite places with a 3D printed topographical map. This time, Pavey features the third-largest island in Hawaii -- Oahu. Using 3D printing to demonstrate the beauty contained in the relatively small area, Pavey used some of the tricks he learned in his last 3D print which featured the San Francisco Bay. Along with a number of small fixes, he was able to render the ocean in a more improved way with added density, as well as using Microsoft’s Model Repair Service to clean up the holes caused by the software when cliffs were lost in translation with Google Maps.
