Hackaday.io user '0n37w0' may have found a new technique for 3D printing metal objects. While this is by now a somewhat familiar ambition, most attempts in the 3D printing realm haven't really come to fruition yet. Those that have tend to have high costs and slow production times. However, this user's idea for "arc printing" is based on the idea of arc welding and is "designed to print objects in minutes not hours." The project's creator has limits to both funds and free time to dedicate to his 3D printer, so progress has been slow. We'll be keeping an eye out to see how his idea comes along!
