Northbrook, Illinois-based Impossible Objects is seeking a new and better way to create 3D printed objects that are intended as final, end-use products. Via a patent-pending system that relies on manufacturing with composite materials -- from Kevlar to fiberglass to carbon fiber -- the company is focusing its attention on growth. They have just received a $2.8 million investment that will help on the way to developing commercializable machines that can be used in aerospace and other high-tech industries.
