Gadget review website Pocket-lint tapped MakerBot on the shoulder for the design for this year's 3D printed Gadget Award -- the first award MakerBot has designed for another company. The outcome is impressive. Based on Pocket-lint's logo, the award stands on a 9.5 cm base and is 15.5cm tall. MakerBot used both its Replicator 2 and its 5th Generation Replicator for the printing, covering all color, speed, and resolution capabilities. Companies like Apple, Samsung, Sony, and Philips reaped the benefits of their quality gadget production by walking home with a new interpretation of the old award: one that is 3D designed!
