On November 26, 2014, Berlin-based 3D printer company, BigRep, announced seed money from KfW Development Bank and its "ERP Fund Program," and from two other investors: Billsafe founder, Dr. Alexander Ey, and Nanda Technologies founder, Johannes von Borries. Known for its large-scale, affordable printers and its Industrial Cloud Printing service, the company plans to use this opportunity to expand its market presence and develop its products and services. With 27 employees, BigRep announced the BigRep Pro earlier this month and unveiled the BigRep One.2 in September. BigRep's recent financial boost promises to facilitate an expanded 3D printing ecosystem beyond their current offerings of hardware and industrial cloud printing services.
