3Discovered Secures Financing for 3D Printing Exchange Platform

In April, we first met Peer Munck (CEO) and Gene Garbaccio (COO) of 3Discovered, and had a chance to sit down and talk at the Inside 3D Printing Conference. They had big plans then and, talking with them again at another Inside 3D Printing Conference in October, are now well on their way to fulfilling their unique business plan. Many manufacturers have to maintain huge inventories of products, and some aftermarket suppliers are necessary for parts for outdated products -- like older cars -- that people still use. Today, 3Discovered announced a new round of external financing, from AITV and other private investors, which will allow them to begin transactions in early 2015. 3Discovered connects customers, 3D printing services, and 3D product design owners through the online exchange, allowing them to fulfill transactions of commercial-grade 3D printed products. The patent-pending platform is a first within the 3D printing space, and could quite conceivably be a solution to a lot of problems that large companies in many different industries have.
