This year, Sir Richard Branson’s Pitch to Rich competition featured six startup hopefuls and innovators, which included two 3D printing entrepreneurs, Carl Thomas of Audiowings with his 3D printed smart headphones, and Chris Thorpe, with his 3D printed lineup of educational products that can be 3D printed at home or school with families and teachers. While Thorpe struck out, Thomas shared in winning the People’s Award and garnered obvious enthusiasm for the technology of 3D printing in general.
