Despite being named in a patent violation lawsuit by none other than 3D Systems, Formlabs seems to be surviving the storm rather well. While this kind of suit can often squash a newcomer to a technology scene, Formlabs is still receiving steady investments, including an injection of $19 million invested last summer. Formlabs is expanding, opening an office in Berlin, hiring more workers, and expanding its already existing Boston-area office. They are currently introducing two new products in the area of liquid print materials, one a castable resin the other a flexible resin.
