The 9th annual Doritos 'Crash the Super Bowl' contest is on, challenging entrants to create a 30-second commercial that could win a chance to be shown during the Super Bowl. A second entry has come to our attention that features a 3D printer capable of printing out Doritos. Using the (sadly) fictional "Infinite 8000 3D Printer," this commercial shows two office workers instantly replicating hole punchers, pencils, and, ultimately, their coworker's Dorito-holding hand. Infinite Doritos sounds like a pretty great use of a 3D printer. While that technology is still more fiction than science, the commercial makers' promise to donate some of their potential winnings to help make prosthetic hands for those in need is very real. The creative team -- Derek de Board and Gordon West, with Filmworkers.com -- based their 3D printer loosely on the MakerBot Replicator.
