Bullets Designed to Work in 3D Printed Plastic Guns - This could be scary
For all of those people that have been saying that 3D printed guns aren't scary, because the guns simply are not safe to use, and they can not be fired accurately over and over again, there is some news today. A machinist named Michael Crumling has designed special bullets that can be fired from plastic 3D printed guns without damaging the gun. He has fired 19 shots and proved that his 3D printed gun was unharmed. These bullets are made of a special added on steel enclosure that buffers the impact of the exploding bullet from the plastic gun. All of the impact is made on the thick steel buffer, thus the gun remains intact. Crumling says his main goal for this stems from his desire to be able to fire 3D printed semi-automatic weapons. Now this could really be scary! Read and see more at: http://3dprint.com/23119/bullets-3d-printed-guns

So he designed a purpose-made zip-gun that you place inside a plastic toy to better aim it.
It wouldn't take much modification and this bullet could be fired from any Nerf gun... Now that's scary.
