    UK Bans 3D Printed Guns

Well, it was only a matter of time... The UK has officially banned 3D Printed guns. They just updated their firearm rules here, making it illegal to sell, purchase, and manufacture guns via 3D Printing methods. These new regulations also will apply to gun parts as well.

Firearm Laws in Australia are very strict. This is the Law in New South Wales, where I live:
    http://www.legislation.nsw.gov.au/xr...%3D46&nohits=y

and this is what the Law says about manufacturing firearms:

    50A Unauthorised manufacture of firearms
    (1) A person who manufactures a firearm is guilty of an offence under this subsection unless the person is authorised by a licence or permit to manufacture the firearm. Maximum penalty: imprisonment for 10 years.

    (2) A person who manufactures a pistol or prohibited firearm is guilty of an offence under this subsection unless the person is authorised by a licence or permit to manufacture the pistol or prohibited firearm. Maximum penalty: imprisonment for 20 years.
And this is what it says about imitation firearms:

    (2) For the purposes of the application (as provided by this section) of this Act to imitation firearms:
    (a) an imitation firearm that is an imitation of a pistol is taken to be a pistol, and
    (b) an imitation firearm that is an imitation of a prohibited firearm is taken to be a prohibited firearm.

I think we have this 3D printing problem sewn up.
