One maker group shared its plans for producing a sturdy, crash-resistant drone with a 3D printed frame on the maker website, Instructables. The “quadcopter” features four motors and a body printed from rugged PLA on a Makerbot 2x Replicator. The sturdy craft is controlled by either a GPS or an FM transmitter.
