    Keeping filament vacuum sealed.

After buying two lots of eSun vacuum storage bags and finding several bags failing to hold the vacuum which renders them useless I have now started to use a vacuum food sealer. The one I bought comes with a few sample bags and a roll of material 11" wide to make my own bags, the bags are not reuseable but do hold the seal and don't leak. I think I might be able to make a bag longer than needed and after using it could cut the old seal off and reseal it. Time will tell.

I've been using Eibos bags and the vacuum which accompanies the bundle purchase. https://shop.eibos3d.com/products/ei...lament-pumpThe bags are larger than all of my spools and made of pretty thick plastic that's rather stiff. It does puncture on occasion, but I then fill it with water, find the leak and throw packing tape over the hole. It goes into the filament dryer and is again ready to use. The vacuum pump runs on a USB power block and barely drains the battery.I tried the sealing type, but the spools were difficult to insert. The longer pull-off of the bag is the best way, getting three to five bag uses from one stretch.

@fre_dot_u That link is a 404 Page not found.
@Bierraceer2020, I have done the same thing with the roll bag for Nylon, still does not stay dry.. Put your roll in the plastic bag it comes in before you put it in the vacuum bag. There is always something sharp someplace that causes a hole.. the double bag helps. I normally use the medium vacuum bags that cost about $1 each on ebay or at least they used to.. They normally last about 6-10 uses before they leak. I guess I should try the water trick.. Regardless of what I store it in, most filaments need to be dried regular, esun petg seem to need to be dried straight out of the factory vacuum sealed bag
