help choosing new 3d printer

Going to be buying my first 3d printer. Just looking for peoples opinions. I'm an IT guy by trade with quite a lot of electronics experience(I love to tinker)Been looking at the ender3 v3 ke as a nice easy to start with printer. like the speed and wide variety of materials. ABS a big plus if/when I decide to try using it. Today though I saw the Sovol SV06 ACE. I've heard a lot of peoples love for the sv06... some hate LOL. But the originals speed was pretty slow compared to the KE, but the new sv06 ACE seems to be a fairly decent competitor. I'm a fan of anything Open source. And both in the top end of my price line for a first timer.Anyone else want to chime in?

Do NOT waste your time on entry level equipment, you are an IT guy, you know the difference between cheap and good.. the boss makes you buy cheap.. don't do that to yourself. Look at Prosumer printers and wait till you have saved enough to get one. That is my 2 cents worth and what I did back in 2018 and still using that unit.. meets my need and works just fine.. Has had some tech updates but did not end up in the junk pile like every Ender the school purchased.. Yes you can buy inexpensive hardware and that is what you will get!

I have several Flashforge Adventurer 5M in use and am very satisfied.

Partly because I own a pair of these color printers, an partly because we could use more technically minded individuals.

I would suggest looking at the New Anycubic Kobrea 3 Combo

Currently you can use their Anycubic Slicer Next w/direct upload of G-Code to printer.
or
Orca Slicer 2.3.0-rc an above to deliver the G-code to printer using a USB flash drive.

You should look at user reviews of any 3D Printer you are thinking of purchasing.
