Hi everyone,I´m working at an Biomedical Enginnering Lab and we are having issues with our FolgerTech FT5_R2 (Marlin 1.1.3, MKS Gen V1.4 board, 8-bit). After fixing a "max temp" error and reseating the heatsinks on the motor drivers, one of the motors on the axis started desyncing.Problem:One motor advances before the other, causing misalignment. When returning to the home position, the motors are out of sync. What we´ve done so far:Performed PID autotune.Checked connections and reseated the motor drivers.Verified that the heatsinks are properly installed and not causing shorts.Current setup:Board: MKS Gen V1.4 (8-bit).Firmware: Marlin 1.1.3 (planning to upgrade to 2.0.9.7, the last version compatible with this board).Drivers: Likely A4988 (stock drivers).Additional info:The board is limited to 8-bit, so upgrading beyond Marlin 2.0.9.7 isn’t possible without a new board.I’m considering upgrading to a 16/32-bit board if necessary.Questions:What could be causing the motor desync after reseating the drivers?Could this be a driver issue, or is it related to the firmware?Should I upgrade to Marlin 2.0.9.7 before troubleshooting further? If I upgrade the board, what’s the best 16/32-bit option for the FT5_R2?Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.
