    Alternative to ABS?

I've been designing in Freecad and printing a lot of nice and useful things for about 3 years now. Mostly in PLA,and some ABS. But I avoid ABS unless I absolutely must have a part that can be taken out and used in the hot summer weather. And then it's usually a small part of some kind. I have an Ender 3 and a Neptune 4 Max, Neither has an enclosure. What filament that is not exotic and expensive, can I use instead of ABS? Nothing I make will be used as a permanent outdoor object. But you just can't take a PLA part you've made for a camera, for instance, and carry it around and use it all day in the July sun. Or leave it in a locked car in 90 degree weather. But I hate printing ABS. It warps up while printing, and has terrible layer adhesion. Terrible stuff. What else can I use that can resist the summer heat and is reasonably strong, and doesn't pull up from the bed and warp while I'm printing it? Thank you.

Never have any of the issues you mention with ABS. sounds like bad/wet abs or your z offset is too high.. of course no enclosure
PETG is the other filament to use.. I never use PLA if I can help it.. Esun PETG prints at 235C and needs 70C bed.. No fan no enclosure but does string a bit and will need to be dried after opened and used a few times. Same setting as PLA just change the temp and no fan..

Thank you. My next question is, if PLA prints at 210 and PETG at 235, off-hand that sounds like not that much more protection from a part still warping locked in the car in the sun on a July day. Anything better? pLA prints nice and easy and the stuff is hard and tough. But unfortunately it's also Frosty the Snowman in a hot car.

I have lots of PETG mounts holding cameras and light which are outside in the sun in the Philadelphia PA area where it hit 100F in the shade. You must remember that the 235 is C not F.. if you car is getting close to 235C it is on fire! PLA gets soft around 100F PETG is dried in a dehydrator at 140F.. You could try ASA but it has the same properties of ABS but is UV resistant.. same printing requirements.
You did not say what it is you are printing ..
