articulating dragon doesnt work anymore

I am printing some articulating dragons and snakes. these have worked flawlessly in the past and came off the bed and were fully articulating. Nowadays, when i print them and take them off the bed, they articulate on the curve they wer printed on but are stuck in the middle somewhere and do not articulate to the other side. I have done multiple prints in different scales and detail all with the same result so i know it is not the file. Ist it the bed not clean enough dont see how that would affect the middle). Do i need to replace the nozzle maybe?Thanks
