    Serious! Need help, temperature accurate settings!

    Hey 3D-printers!

    Need help to get the settings right, I'm using a MakerBot Replicator 2X (Firmware 7.4) and using ABS extruder 1.75mm, On build plate Am I using Brown Tesa 4309 tape.

    Questions:
    Temperature extruder?
    Temperature Build plate?
    Extruder Speed?

    and do you guys have other tips, i could use as new to this 3D printing.

    230 degrees centigrade
    120 degrees centigrade
    not sure on the last one, I just use the default

    Change your infil percentage depending upon the robustness or fragility of the form you wish to produce

    you're better with a build plate temp of 100c

    Extruder depends on the filament - some abs works better at 220-225, some works better at 230-235

    Speed depends on what you're printing. ie: size, complexity etc.

    Can i recommend you buy a book.

    Read it cover to cover, do some of the exercises. And you'll probably end up answering more questions than you ask.

    Otherwise you'll most likely spend more time asking questions than actually printing :-)
