Flexible Magnitic Stainless Steel Bed

I have installed the first flexible magnetic stainless steel bed. The steel plates have much more sensitivity to my proximity sensor making them detect this plate 2mm before the Heated aluminum bed. Along with the fact the my y axis belt clamp was extremely loose caused me some problems. 1st the proximity sensor detected the bed outside the area I could address with z-offset adjustment in marlin. This made me manually adjust the sensor closer to the bed for the z-offset too function correctly. 2nd the loose Y-axis belt clamp allowed layer shift to occur, this made me think the stainless steel build plate was shifting on magnetic bed. It was a very learn ed experience especially after not 3D Printing for 2.5 years, it was almost like learning the entire 3D Printer from the beginning. After 5 failed spool holder misprints finally have a single working magnetic bed 3D printer. Three to go.

I have had a slow movement back into 3D Printing after about the same of time frame.
Purchased a Big Tree Tech SKR Pro V1.1 32bit Controller For my Home Brew CoreXY 3D Printer.

Have ordered three flexible Steel magnetic build plates for my three Hictop machines, the aluminum build plates are slightly warping.
Need to continue printing some CoreXY custom 3D parts an bring CoreXY online.

Finally got the 1st 3D Printer working correctly, kind of, the bed adhesion is not even close to what I was expecting.

Does anyone have any ideals on a way to get PLA to stick to this bed better. I never needed anything to help stick to my PEI beds.

It is not the perfect fit for my 3D Printer and may sell them to my nephew as spares for his and purchase a larger sheet on cut to fit my bed.

Then will cut to 275mm X 230mm a little larger but should work

After taking a real close look at my 3D Printers.
I have made a decision that there are so many loose parts that I need to do complete maintenance on all 3D Printers starting with Red my 1st tried and true.

Need to check an tighten all fasteners, may be a good ideal to use some Loctite Blue 242 as tried and true 3D Printer Reds Y axis belt clamps bolts are loose.
So rather than having more problems will, bite the bullet and do the complete maintenance checking that all parts are correctly assembled to correct tension.

This is a basic maintenance to check that all the nuts, bolts electrical wiring connections are tightened to the correct specs, an wiring is not frayed or broken.

Do not want a complete structural failure of the 3D Printer or frame falling apart now do I.

OK every thing is working although the PEO-PET bed is not holding the PLA as well as expected any suggestions what I should do to correct...

Seems that a few manufacturers are now recommending and including a glue stick with their new printers, even for pei sheets.

I think Vision Miner do a special spray, probably expensive. Magigoo is very good from memory even on a glass bed.

Clean sheet by wiping with IPA and a piece of kitchen roll or use a water and dish soap solution.

I remember when first a PEI build sheet thought would never get anything to stick until after printing ABS.
Then all my filament was sticking well, Also was told to use Hairspray that never worked for me.
What I found worked best is Vinyl transfer paper tape though lost my rolls when moving.


Thank you for the suggestions will give every thing a try until it start sticking again.

I've just recently started printing with Bambu PETG HF and the prints have started sticking a bit too well, so I've started using a glue stick as barrier so they come off easier.

The problem is where any filament just one layer thick is laid down such as a purge line, then I'm having to literally scrape and chip it off the PEI sheet.

I have printed on Vinyl transfer paper tape.

Will Vinyl transfer paper Hold my Part
