Face finish
I am brand new on here, and I may not have posted this in the right forum so I am moving it here. I'm using a CR-10 SE that my buddy gave me. He sent me home with a reel of PLA that I've been learning on, but am trying to get the hang of making some decorative pieces as well.
I got a reel of this
AMOLEN Silk PLA 3D Printer Filament, Shiny Multicolor Rainbow PLAfilament. It's red and black, and I could really use some advise on how to get a better surface appearance. You can see the colors fade into each other pretty nicely on that little tube (it's a mouth piece for an Aromed Vaporizer) but the other piece which is supposed to be a keychain, it's pretty janky and rough.
I've played with infill and shell parameters and have made very little progress. I feel like the surface is better with my normal PLA, but that also doesn't have to contend with the aspect of colors blending. If someone would recommend a starting place for me to work on this that'd be great
Those other 2 pics are my filament dryer... a food dehydrator that I modified. I think it does pretty good but if someone wants to tell me it might be my problem I am totally open to feedback. The reel goes in there overnight then I put in bags with desicants after they come out of.
The last pic is brackets I made for my shower curtain rod because I have a lot of trouble with it falling. Those brackets have worked great!
Thankyou for all feedback people!
