BambuX1Carbon($2k) vs MarkTwo($20k)
Hello all
First post and just looking at getting into 3D printing. Looking into buying a Printer for work purposes as a innovation trial. Budget isn't really limited but no point in wasting money.
I was originally looking at the Ultimaker S7 Combo printer and inquired about that. The seller recommended the Markforged Mark Two Carbon printer instead. Both these are around 20k per printer.
After listening to some podcasts and doing research i came across the Bambu X1 Carbon printer which is only around 2k for the combo version.
I am brand new to the print scene and asked the seller the major difference between brands for the difference in price but didn't get much an answer.
Anyone know these printers and can provide a recommendation or explanation why the major price difference?
Thanks!!!
Mike

Hi Mike, I know this thread is a bit old now, but I am still interested to find out what printer you went for. At my work we have started using a Bambu printer, to be precise it's the one you were looking at. It's very user friendly and the software is easy to use. The saying "easy to learn, hard to master" comes to mind, as you can adjust the basic settings in the advanced section and that is where it becomes a bit more complicated. Thus far we have printed a large range of parts using PLA filament as well as PETG-CF (carbon reinforced) filament, all to a satisfactory degree. I don't know much about the Ultimaker printers, but the reason for the price difference could be the software, the use of superior components, a greater printing area, a faster printing speed, a greater capacity for materials etc... I came across the same situation when looking for a resin printer, and found that certain "beginner" printers were quite cheap. There was then a large gap and you arrive in the more expert printers which were upwards of $4000 (just for the printer!). You would then need to buy a curer and cleaning unit as well. So as I said at the beginning, I look forward to finding out what you chose and what your experiences are, as we have had good experiences with our Bambu Labs printer. Regards, Daniel
Help me choose the right printer...
