Just lately there have been some posts that appear to answer a previous post, but the general layout seemed a little odd, frequently a long answer that is like an essay.

I couldn't quite put my finger on it but suspected it was done by ChatGPT.

I have found a program to show the use of AI in this way and some posters have been using the ChatGPT to make posts.
They have been banned when discovered,

The gpt chat should be able to help if the prompt entered is clear and detailed. However, if done haphazardly, the results will not be as desired

The only way someone using gpt chat in this forum to help them is that they will get themselves banned.

Using gpt chat to post in a discussion forum shows that the poster has no original input or much in the way of cognitive thinking.

If you need to use gpt chat to post, then you are in the wrong forum!

I'm only concerned if it is used in this discussion forum. It seems to be mainly first time posters trying to impress by posting generalisations about a subject that they appear to have little or no real knowledge of.
