Miss Georgia's 3D Printed Shoes - Miss America

This year's Miss America parade will be a little extra special this year, at least if you are a fan of 3D printing. Miss Georgia, Maggie Bridgies' shoes will feature several 3D printed pieces on them. The shoes which resemble Georgia Tech's Mascot, a 1930 Ford, has had their headlights, wheels, and other parts all 3D printed. More details on Miss Georgia's shoes can be found here: http://3dprint.com/13286/miss-americ...3d-print-shoes

Check out a picture of these incredible detailed shoes which Maggie will wear at the Miss America Parade on Sept 13 in Atlantic City:

Oh man, at least they're not yellowjacket-themed shoes. Almost nobody is going to understand why they are themed after a specific car (my sister went to Georgia Tech, and even I don't exactly get the significance of the "Ramblin' Wreck", but it's practically a second mascot for the school.)

I wonder if there will be any mention during the TV broadcast that these were 3D printed.
