Researchers have come up with a method for creating plastics out of Spinach, Rice, Cocoa, and other vegetables. This would undoubtedly help save the environment, especially with an influx of 3D printing awaiting on the horizon. We currently have PLA which is corn/tapioca based, but having a greater variety of plastics available that are made of renewable resources would go a long way to making 3D printing even more environmentally friendly.
