New Airwolf 3D Printer - AW3D HD Debuts Tomorrow

Airwolf 3D Releases New Larger Desktop 3D Printer

NOVEMBER 15, 2013 --Costa Mesa, CA (PRWEB) November 15, 2013Airwolf 3D, Southern Californias preeminent manufacturer of desktop 3D printers, is releasing the newest addition to its robust line of products--the AW3D HD. The HD will be debuting at the 3D Printshow in Paris, France on Friday, November 15, 2013. Joining Airwolfs popular V.5.5 and XL printers, the HD sets new standards for volume, accuracy and speed. The HD features a class leading print volume of 1,150 cubic inches (12x8x12 - approximately 300mm x 200mm x300 mm), coupled with layer-to-layer resolution as fine as .05mm (.002), lightning-fast speeds and a partially enclosed, yet easily accessible proprietary frame design. The HD is also fully autonomous, meaning that it is not necessary to couple it to a computer to print.
According Airwolf 3D president Erick Wolf, With this printer it is now possible to repeatedly print very large objects quickly and precisely in a number of different materials. The HDs proprietary heavy duty frame combined with the judicious use of acrylic, 3D-printed components, and cutting edge technology place Airwolfs latest creation leaps and bounds ahead of other 3D printers. Adds Wolf, We applied what we learned from the V.5.5 and XL and customer feedback to design an incredibly reliable 3D printer incorporating oversized motors, precision motion belts, and bullet-proof electronics. With its new JR hot end the HD can print using a variety of raw materials, including ABS, PLA, PVA, Nylon, T-Glass, Laywood, Laybrick, Bendlay, Soft PLA, and HIPS.The HD comes standard with Airwolfs new proprietary Jam-Resistant hot end, as well as an LCD/Micro SD card adapter to accommodate autonomous printing. The HD is available in assembled form at the introductory price of $2,999 plus taxes and applicable fees.

How is it managing to get an 0.05mm print from an 0.5mm nozzle? I'd be interested to see the finer detailed items printed with this.

I like the hotend they offer for 115$ but $3000 is a bit too much for a acrylic 3d printer...in my opinion.
