MakerBot Z18 Bundles - Special Savings Through August

Now that MakerBot Replicator Z18s are in stock and shipping (ICYMI, here's a link to our post on this from last week), Media Supply and MakerBot are offering two specially priced Z18 bundles designed to help you get the most out of your Z18 and save you money.

The first bundle includes two MakerBot 3D printers, the Replicator Z18 and the Replicator (5th Gen). A number of users, especially in architecture and engineering, take full advantage of the Z18's massive build volume and use it to create large, intricate models. Some of these builds can take several days to complete, and they can't afford to have all their 3D printer resources completely tied up for this long. That's why bundling a second 3D printer, the Replicator, with the Z18 makes a lot of sense. While the Z18 is completing the larger builds, people can continue to design and 3D print prototype models on the Replicator. When compared to purchasing the two 3D printers separately, the Replicator Z18/Replicator bundle offers a savings of $400.

The second bundle combines two Replicator Z18 accessories, the MakerBot filament case and the MakerBot Z18 Cart. Neither item is required for the Z18 to operate, however, our customers at larger businesses and schools seem to get the most out of the Z18 when they use it with the case and cart. The cart adds mobility to the Z18, making it easy to move from one department or project team to another. I almost just wrote that the cart makes it easy to share the Z18, but sharing doesn't come easy with a machine like this that everyone will want to use. The cart also has interior storage, and a shelf specifically designed to accomodate the filament case. The filament case allows the use of MakerBot's XL and XXL size filament, five and ten pounds of PLA material, respectively, which are large enough to complete the Z18's giant builds without running out of filment. When compared to purchasing the two items separately, the MakerBot cart and case bundle offers a savings of $200. We do have to mention, just to be clear, that this bundle does not include the Replicator Z18 itself, just the cart and the case, but you can buy the Z18 separately, or as part of the first bundle I described.

Both bundles are available through the end of August at MediaSupply's MakerBot page, and both include free shipping. We're here to help, so please feel free to contact us you have any questions.

A quick update here - MakerBot just announced a drastic price reduction on the Replicator Z18 filament case, which makes the price of the Z18 cart/case bundle even lower. It's also worth noting that the case no longer includes a spool of XXL filament, but with the new lower price, you save enough to buy 2 XXL spools and still have some money left.
