Autodesk discontinued it, but I found the last version :-)

It looks like a midway step between tinkercad and fusion 360.
Lots of how to video and articles around.

And if you want to know the sort of stuff it will design - it's what Autowiz uses :-)

Personally I need something to do the stuff easily that openscad makes really hard.
text wrapping, organic shapes etc.

Plus - my internet really sucks. So cloud software is totally useless to me.

And I have a book on 123d around somewhere as well :-)

It also looks like it might do photos to 3d model conversions.

But it definitely looks like it's still got legs and would be a great place for newcomers to start.
