Ender 3 first layer blobs (MicroSwiss Direct Drive kit)

    Hi,

I have a very recent issue where the extruder extrudes the plastic in the form of blobs, instead of a line with a constant width.
I am using an Ender 3 Pro with a MicroSwiss Direct Drive kit (which comes with their all-metal hotend), printing eSUN PLA+ on a magnetic PEI surface.
I have calibrated E-steps and flow. My bed is level.

Here are a few photos that demonstrate the issue:

    I'd appreciate your advice.

    Thank you.

This could be a sign of moisture absorbed into the filament try a different roll of filament.

Thank you for the suggestion. I did suspect this at first and thus dried the filament in an oven for 4 hours. I do have a sealed roll of PETG but would like to use-up the PLA before I unpack it.Are there other things that might cause this?
