What should I look for in decent hardware?

I'm brand new to 3D printing and I am looking to buy an used printer.. What do I need to look for to make sure the printer is in an operable state https://19216801.onl/ https://routerlogin.uno/.

number of hours used is a good indication.

It's a lot like buying a car - an engine with 200,000 miles on the clock is going to be more inclined for bits to break than oe with 20,000.

There is a lot of movement and vibration in a 3d printer, so general wear and tear is a real thing.

Do some research on the actual printer you look at (again like buying a car - and yes I am currently looking for a car to buy)
If it's a printer that needs mods and upgrades - check to see if any of them have already been done.

If it's an industrial model - check to see if you are locked into propriatary filament/supplies.
Or if there's a workaround to bypass the locked system.

Age - an 'old' 3d printer is one that is over 5 years old (NOT like a car ;-)
Make sure you see it running - at least homing and moving to the limitt of all three axis's - that way you can see if it moves cleanly and without obvious grinding noises or wobbles.

Check the frame is tight and doesn't wobble noticeably.

Just general common sense really - obviously there are things specific to each make and model - but without one specified we can just give generalities.
