Real Tree Textures - For Functional and Decorative 3D Printed Items

There is a way to transfer the texture of any tree to a 3D printable object without harming the tree. It is possible to achieve this using just a mobile phone camera, photogrammetry software like Meshroom, and 3D design software like Blender3D for texture cleaning for further editing.

Here is one big gallery/blog: 3D Scanned Tree Texture – Ideas For 3D Printing.
Here are some ideas. Looking for more ... Please let me know if you want to see tree textures applied to something else.

P.S. Sorry - my post is slightly out of shape. I am struggling to post the image and my YouTube embed is too big. Please send me the link with the instructions - I will edit the post properly.
    Thanks,
    Max

    that is pretty cool.
Couple that with a wood filament and you could make some pretty convincing 'branches'.

Yep, so far wood filament worked very well for such prints/designs:

I tried varnish on Groot once - it worked well I guess I need to buy more varnish for the vases.
Overall I love wood filament very much, it feels soo natural. Here is my blog, long read and more images:
