    Unexpected use for 3D printing

Anyone who has dabbled in concrete work knows that sometimes one has to leave a mark. Usually it's done with a pointed stick or similar dangerous device.

This 3D printer use popped into my alleged mind just in time. I still made a small error, but I wasn't about to do it over and it's not a system critical failure.

As one can see, there's a joining arc over the text, to keep things aligned.

It's not really "my mark," but I wanted to be able to later recall when the pole was installed. Even if the PLA deteriorates, the recess will remain forever.

Of course, the possibilities are unlimited. One can make concrete stamps or inlays of just about anything.
