Ya I know. I wasn't being serious from the start, BTW. I very much rely on CA and Spegelius here to help me. It's just that as an auto technician I am subject to calls/messages from people asking "why did my car break down" or "why did my check engine light come on" without the relevant information one might need to make any kind of an informed comment on the subject. I am used to this scenario from my industry so I was playing with it and having fun. BUT, ...I mean, if someone wants to send me their broken printer and a "whole mess of money" I would be glad to be of assistance. Depending on their idea of a whole mess of money, lol.

He is just waiting for his space in time that will allow him to get back into this project.
Some of us just have more time than others to play our hobbies.

An we were not going to teach him everything.
We were going to help him troubleshoot the problem then explain the easiest way to fix the problem.
This individual is at a School where they have many different resources from other students that can request help including the Amateur Radio Club.
Fixing this 3D Printer is not a major disaster for a School full of students. if one Student takes charge and leads the rest to the final solution.
