Hello, I'm looking into starting 3D printing as a hobby and have done a fair amount of research here and there about potential hardware and how to get started.

It looks like the Creality Ender 3 is a very popular choice with how reliable and relatively inexpensive it is, as well as all of the available media and tutorials on operating it and making any equipment upgrades. However it looks like recently they pushed out the Ender 3 V2, with a handful of QOL changes and improvements over the original's design. The difference in price ($200 vs $270) wouldn't be that much of a dealbreaker for me considering the cost of any modifications to the Ender 3 original I would likely make.

Would you suggest I spring for the preemptive upgrade, or do I go for the model that already has a wide userbase and plenty of material for beginners?
